This view seems to be everyones favorite. I can see why, it's really nice composition with good recession. I do like the red, but sadly the comic has to be in black and white.
This seemed like a nice dynamic shot, I like the flooring here as well, and the backs of the chairs, and how the light is being cast.
A pretty good shot of outside and inside. I like the large windows.
My friend Raz looking at me like I'm nuts. Another dynamic angle.
A view of the room as a whole.
Another of that line-of-lanterns view. I think I like the first one better.
The checkout counter. If i had been less shy, I would've taken a lot more pictures of this area.
Some fun stuff.
Not as much fun.
More of the take-out counter.
Some of the foods. Again, wish I had more pictures of this subject, but I felt weird taking walking around taking pictures like I was... I'd be a terrible photographer..
I love these. But it'll be a pain in the ass to draw...
Raz and The Wife drawing in their sketchbooks. (and lol boobs.)
A lantern.
Mouse-eye-view!
Another whole-picture view, I like this one.
Some details, like mugs.
More details, like tea.
Raz on her mac - and other people working. I like the depth in this one.
Birds-eye-view of more working.
Some people in the table next to ours doing homework.
The cafe got more full later in the afternoon. Took some more big-picture shots.
A woman thinking really hard.
So as you can see, I have a bit to work from, but it's still going to take a long time, and I pretty much have to finish all of the sketches for this assignment tonight. I decided to make this post about it so that I'd have some gumption about the work. I think it's working. I'm just not looking forward to wearing my hand out. :/
The comic has to be four pages in length, the pages have to be 10x16 with a 2:3 aspect ratio, black and white with no less than six panels per page. The comic can't just be images side by side of the space either, they should tell some kind of "story" or at least be like "visual poetry", as in, have it makes some sense.
The sketches are due tomorrow, and the final product is due the 29th, so I'll be busy these next few days.
My goal for tonight is to finish my Illustration project (I'll upload an image of that later) and to have the sketches for this comic done, as well as the four 10x16 pages ruled out and ready for penciling tomorrow night. I better get going, I'll keep you posted.
Peace,
/A.V.
